Caught another study that was a waste of money. At least this time it wasn't our money though. From what I read it was done in Europe. Of course, if Congress has it's way they will be shelling cash out to save all of Europe so I guess it is only not our money for the time being. This one was another one about sitting making you obese.
The study was dealing with the ever growing commute that most of us. In most places it isn't that the jobs are getting farther and farther away. It has more to do with the increase in traffic centered around cities. What a previous study has found is that the average commute is now nearly an hour each way. For some in major cities that could be a little as a 5 mile commute. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that in the Syracuse area.
But this study stated that anyone commuting more than 20 minutes each way were more likely to be overweight. Wow, why did that take a study that probably cost millions of dollars? They could have just looked at a previous pointless study that showed that people with jobs that have them sitting for extended periods of time increased their likelihood of being overweight. Yep, now we have 2 studies that show the same results at the cost of millions!
And no one can figure out why every developed country in having financial issues! Here's a study that I would love to see: one that lists how many studies have wasted money.
