That's Parenting

I have to apologize for missing a week with posting but you need to understand that it is my first vacation in 8 years where we went somewhere.  And it's the first one in 17 or 18 years that we've gone somewhere that is a "vacation spot" so to say.  Very enjoyable for the most part.  And it was very nice to see such big smiles on the faces of my family.  So you may be wondering what am I going to rant about, read on and you'll find out.

How Stupid Do They Think We Are?

Not sure about the advertising in your area but here in New York one of the fast food giants has begun advertising for a new breakfast menu.  That's not what bothers me, more choice is always good for the consumer.  What bothers me is the advertisement itself.

What am I Paying For?

Another suggestion from a friend, yes it's the same one, I don't have all that many but I'm fine with that.  Unlike last night's post though, this isn't exactly what he suggested.  I'd tell you what he suggested but it'd give everything away.  And that's what they will tell you if you were to ask the people that tonight's rant is about, they'd ask if you wanted them to give it away.

When Was That Written?

So for tonight I've got one that was suggested by a good friend.  The funny part about it is that this friend (yes I do consider him to be that) is someone I've never met.  I only know him through interaction on Google+ and instant messaging.  A few weeks ago he posted something regarding the entertainment industry, it bugged me then and still does.  Now I have a few minutes to write about it.

A Problem with Social Media

As social media grows to be much more of a norm for a large portion of how we interact with people, several problems arise.  And these are going to become more and more relevant as social media grows.  And this is platform independent.  It doesn't matter if you are using Facebook, Twitter, or my preference, Google+.  What are these problems?  You'l have to click the link to find out...

I Want Answers

I only caught part of the story as I was headed out the door but it's something that is repeated after each and every tragic event.  It doesn't matter whether it is something that is natural or it's a man-made thing.  In this case it is the Boston Marathon bombing.

Trying to Start Again
